About the Archives
Established in 1991 by the Board of County Commissioners, the Archives serves the citizens of Jefferson County by providing access to historical records created by our county government and preserving them for future generations. We also have special collections, which are historical records not created by the county but donated to the Archives over the years, such as manuscripts and photographs.
Jefferson County Archives is part of the Records Management and Archives program that falls within the Business Innovation & Technology division of the county.
