Photos from property tax appraisal cards for residential and commercial properties in Jefferson County, Colorado, used for valuation and taxation purposes. In addition to houses and commercial buildings, photographs can include cabins, barns, and sometimes houses and buildings that have since been demolished, moved or have burned down. The earliest photos and information are from 1949; the latest 2005. (Scans of entire cards available. The card may include a description of property and improvements, footprint drawing with measurements and dates of additions to the building, previous owner or owners' names, and record of assessed value.) Note: There are tens of thousands of these photos and cards, and it will take time to scan them all.
